False Color Plugin is a piece of software allowing you to see the False Color overlay known from various cameras and field monitors right in your NLE or color grading software. The output of the plugin is based on the luminosity (brightness) of the input image. You can split the luminosity into ranges (0% – 100%) and each range can be represented by a custom color. This allows you to easily and consistently get a feel where the specific objects in the frame lie (brightness wise).
All the False Color products are available for both Mac & Windows. Below is a list of supported platforms:
- OpenFX – DaVinci Resolve, NuKe, SCRATCH, Sony Vegas
- Adobe CC – Premiere Pro, After Effects
Current version doesn’t support BlackMagic devices, but the support is coming soon!
All you need to do is to add the False Color Plugin to the blacklist.
While there is no GUI to do this, it *is* possible to blacklist OFX plugins such that Fusion won’t load them. You need to create a text file in your Fusion Profile: directory called “FusionOFX.blacklist”, and put the full path to OFX plugin bundles that you wish to disable, one per line. Make sure you get it exact – it’s case sensitive.
If the file doesn’t already exists, please create one:
“~/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/Fusion/Profiles/Default/FusionOFX.blacklist“,
with 2 lines:
And this will prevent it loading that particular plugin bundles.
The license has an activation limit of 3. But the activation is linked with a specific hardware, which means that on one specific computer you can activate the product as many times as you want. This also means that you can use the product on 3 different computers.
